Who Nurtures You?

“Who nurtures you?” is a question I ask clients regularly.  And it is the question I pose to you now.  Really.  Who nurtures you?  Does your answer sound something like, “I do.  I buy organic, eat healthy food, avoid overly processed junk food, exercise, and ask my body what it wants.”  Yep, you, my clients and I all have a similar answer to that question. I bet you try to do all that self nurturing while you are busy making a difference to … [Read more...]

Grand Water Trine – July 29, 2013

Often we feel at the “mercy” of planetary activity.  “Nonsense,” is my response to that!  Yes, of course we will feel the influence of celestial movement.  And you, go-getter Modern Goddess that you are, know that when you have background about such things and make choices, take action, and show up – transformation occurs. My three favorite things in the world are all in focus with this Grand Water Trine:  Love, Forgiveness and Transformation.  … [Read more...]

How To Really Celebrate Being A Woman

Do you really celebrate being a woman?  By its very nature, celebration suggests an out-loud, public proclamation.  Case in point – March 8th is International Women’s Day.  Today, corporations with no, or one or two women on their Boards of Directors, and governments run by non-representative government (as in, not representing the make-up of the population) will donate money, make pledges and promise a few incremental changes. (Don’t worry I … [Read more...]

What Your Body Knows

Sunday afternoon, the migraine overtook me slowly, as if it had been watching and waiting for a vulnerable moment.  I kept at my organizing and financial tasks, ignoring the growing discomfort in the hopes that the slow start of the headache meant it would not be a bad one. Monday morning, my inner wisdom said, “Be gentle with yourself today.”  I not only acknowledged the brilliance of that wisdom, I followed it.  But the migraine continued to … [Read more...]

12/21/2012 Winter Solstice

This post is … long!  I weave in the numerology and astrology of 12/21/2012, and then offer a Winter Solstice Completion Ceremony outline.  Please grab a cup of something warm to sip, put your feet up and settle in for the read with your heart wide open.  It’s Just Math There is an important number derived from all those one’s and two’s and it is eleven.  12/21/2012 = 11 in Numerology.  The 11’s energy opens doorways to enlightenment and higher … [Read more...]

Full Moon Partial Eclipse

The partial eclipse takes place between 4:14 – 8:51 a.m. pacific time with the best chance to notice something around 6:00 a.m. or moonset on Wednesday morning, November 28.  Though I’m a notorious night owl, my alarm is set!  The folks on the east coast of the US and those in Eastern Europe will miss seeing the show.  However, we will all feel the impact of the eclipse. I just got in from an after dinner walk and a lovely chat with Grandmother … [Read more...]

Banish The Relationship Devil!

Are you worried about your children, parents, partner or pets? Does 3:00 a.m. find you ruminating about an exchange with a co-worker or client?  Are you scared you are somehow screwing up your spiritual relationship by not meditating enough, or just right?  I think we all engage in these crazy-making, sleep-depriving worries.  Why?  We don’t want to be the ones that “mess up” a relationship. When I decided to heal my body rather than undergo … [Read more...]

Get Your Balance On!

Despite summer’s last gasp of soaring temperatures, the Fall Equinox is this week: Saturday, September 22, 2012.  We enter the sun sign of Libra, which is all about restoring balance, harmony and fairness.  The trick?  To give those things to ourselves as much as we offer them to others. Then & Now As a kid I thought the transition from summer to fall was about moving from playtime to study-time (and that I could officially start making my … [Read more...]

Blue Moons & Self Love

Friday, August 31, 2012 is the full moon and a “Blue Moon” at that. There are two definitions floating around about the term Blue Moon.  The older of the two definitions refers to the third of four full moons in one season (there are typically three moon cycles per season).  The “newer” and some would say accidental definition refers to the second full moon in one month.  Either way – Blue Moons don’t happen regularly.  In fact, the next one … [Read more...]

Stop Pretending You Don’t Know

“Oh, my god!  Mom, I think I just saw a whale!  Yes!  I see the tail!  Oh my god!  There’s the spray again!”  I leapt off my cozy sofa to stand in front of the giant window in my living room, my eyes widened to see as much of the ocean in front of me as I could.   “Do people on the beach see it?” my mom asked.    I moved my gaze to the beach.  “They do!  There’s a family standing still, lined up looking where I’m looking!  And everyone on the … [Read more...]
