Full Moon Partial Eclipse

The partial eclipse takes place between 4:14 – 8:51 a.m. pacific time with the best chance to notice something around 6:00 a.m. or moonset on Wednesday morning, November 28.  Though I’m a notorious night owl, my alarm is set!  The folks on the east coast of the US and those in Eastern Europe will miss seeing the show.  However, we will all feel the impact of the eclipse. I just got in from an after dinner walk and a lovely chat with Grandmother … [Read more...]

Get Your Balance On!

Despite summer’s last gasp of soaring temperatures, the Fall Equinox is this week: Saturday, September 22, 2012.  We enter the sun sign of Libra, which is all about restoring balance, harmony and fairness.  The trick?  To give those things to ourselves as much as we offer them to others. Then & Now As a kid I thought the transition from summer to fall was about moving from playtime to study-time (and that I could officially start making my … [Read more...]

Blue Moons & Self Love

Friday, August 31, 2012 is the full moon and a “Blue Moon” at that. There are two definitions floating around about the term Blue Moon.  The older of the two definitions refers to the third of four full moons in one season (there are typically three moon cycles per season).  The “newer” and some would say accidental definition refers to the second full moon in one month.  Either way – Blue Moons don’t happen regularly.  In fact, the next one … [Read more...]

Full Moon Breakthrough!

The full moon of July is called the Buck Moon.  Why?  Bucks get their new velvety antlers in July!  It’s a rite of passage moon, really - things bursting forth and taking new shape.  This particular full moon in Capricorn on July 3 is demanding us to “grow and transform already” due to Pluto squaring and sparring with Uranus.  So don’t be surprised if you find yourself a wee bit impatient and irritable when it feels like you are circling around … [Read more...]

Trick or Treat!

I loved everything about Halloween as a kid – from picking out costumes and candy to the decorations my mom put up.  At four, I already knew animal print was fashionable, evidenced by this photo!  (My brother looks like he is anything but pleased to be taking this picture with his kid sister, though my mother swears he was just trying to look like a “tough pirate”!) I didn’t know then that Halloween borrows from ancient holidays like Celtic … [Read more...]

Just Lucky?

I have a double confession, though not the juicy kind requiring a Priest.   First up: I’m lucky.  My numbers are called in raffle prizes.  Store clerks give me discounts.  I find front row parking spaces at malls in December.  Here’s the second confession.  The last two months I’ve dealt with my broken foot, missing out on summer fun has left me feeling decidedly cranky and unlucky. Cursed, Lucky or Blessed? Today I am BLESSING with gratitude … [Read more...]

Full Moon is Tuesday, May 17!

Since 1994, I have gathered women together at the Full Moon to celebrate – celebrate gratitude, accomplishments, and all that is good, including those hard knock life lessons.   Yes, it is Woo-Woo! We sit in a circle, light candles, and meditate a little.  Mostly we slow down and take some time to reflect.  And laugh.  I’m a Coach, so we also kick a little butt by choosing 1-3 intentions to focus our attention for the next … [Read more...]

Pushback And Other Challenges Along The Way To Irresistible!

Do your panties ever get all twisty when you take on something brand new and ask for feedback?  Yeah, mine can, too.  That’s why I go to my inner circle and power tribe for feedback first. Here’s how it usually goes: You spend hours, days, maybe years thinking about and planning to implement an idea or dream.  Then one day, it’s ready “enough” and you reveal the beta version to a select group of your peeps. Your adoring fan friends will love … [Read more...]
